Cat Fight

So I was at the bar on the weekend and I saw the greatest thing... A catfight! Yes I mean two ladies pulling hair and using nails and gettin dirty on the stree. Now I'm thinking, what a waste, they probably spent a combined 6 hours in fron of the mirror doing their make up and now they are just messing it all up. Ive heard a lot of guys find this attractive. Really? I guess I can see tow girls in bikini's wrestling being pretty sexy, but girls fighting? I find it far more hilarious than hot. It makes me laugh and giggle and it truly made my night better. After having to spend dollar after dollar on drinks, I was cheered up. So to all you crazy guys who enjoy a catfight I have to agree, but probably for different reasons. That's all for now. Until next time,

I'm Jammin' Jeffrey

Dear Tim

This post is dedicated to my wonderful proffessor tim Goebel. Now this is probably the saddest thing you will ever read but I'm writing it because, well, it's true. yola.com is lame. Its lame in the fact that I am writing this at 10:00 on Sunday night and its telling me that I am posting this on Monday. Now according to Mr. Goebel's 2 posts per day rul, clearly I'm gonna drop the ball. This post and the one before it had to be done before 9:00 today in order to be considered as posted today. Unfortunately for me, they weren't. I tried several times to try and remove the dates on the posts, but to no avail. So this is my pathetic attempt to make up for my error. Sorry Tim don't make me bleed to badly. Am I an idiot for writing this? Probably! But thats all for me now. So until next time,

I'm Jammin' Jaffrey

Too Much Hockey?

So today I woke up ready to play a game of hockey. We played our first game of the playoffs with my team today at 11 AM. Too early? I agree. We won 2-1 and I got the first goal of the game... because I'm so awesome. HA! After that I went home and fell asleep while watching the Detroit Red Wings Battle the Chicago Blackhwaks. When I woke up the game was over and my Dad had put on the local Junior A game where the Guelph Storm (GO GUELPH!!) beat the Kitchener Rangers (BOOO Kitchener!!) A hour and a half after that I had to play 2 back to back games at the same ice rink the Storm just finished playing on. The ice was obviously garbage and I was already dead. We lost game one 7-3 we me netting a goal and we won our second game 4-3 where I potted two. Like I said... I'm awesome. So to answer the title of this post, "Too Much Hockey?" All I have to say is...

NO SUCH THING!!!

Thanks Dad. You tought how to be Canadian. To all you hockey lovers, you rock, it's just a shame you can't be as awesome as me. Until next time,

I'm Jammin' Jeffrey

Now I like cool cars and I appreciate the fact that it makes getting from A to B very convenient. Quick and Easy. But think about this, if we didn't have cars, we would all be much fitter, and obesity would not be an issue. We wouldn't have so many arguments about the green house gasses. We wouldn't have so many people who become instantly popular because of having wheels. Trust me this has happened to me, and it is not fun. People take advantage of each other and it sucks. All I'm saying is that life would be less competitive without them and the world would be better for it. ;). That's my rant for the day.

Until next time,I'm Jammin' Jeffrey

The Olden Days

Is life easier now? Since the dawn of the industrial revolution? I would have to say that this is arguable. With all the different ways to communicate and travel and see the world... there is just too much for people to do. Think about it, before the 1900's or even the 1800's people had to worry about three things, what to eat, how to kill time, and how long they had to live. Now we have so many choices. Do we want to travel, how much money do you want to make. You have to stay in touch with hundreds of people. You have to go to school and go to work everyday. We need to drive cars and fly planes and call people on our cell phones, and then we lose signal and need to find land lines and send emails from computers and all this technological stuff. We spend years of our lives in front of the television. Why cant we go back and make life simple. Farm some food for nourishment. Invent some games to play with those you were close to. And do what you can to stay healthy. And if you truly feel the need to travel, then hopefully you can find a way to get a horse. I just wish life was easy and simple. I hate authority, I hate that everyone has expectations for everyone else, and I hate that we truly cant just do what makes us happy anymore. I want life to be simple and easy. But unfortunately that is not a reality. Life just brings about too many choices. I would love to go back in time and become a blacksmith and walk home after work and have dinner with the kids and take them out to play and go to sleep next to my wife. But guess what... not gonna happen. Well we can always dream. Stupid Technology. But I guess without techonlogy... Who would read this? I guess it does have some benefit after all. Until next time,

I'm Jammin' Jeffery

NHL deadline

The NHL trade deadline was the other day and it had the most action in NHL history. There was just one problem, a lack of blockbuster deals. I was very dissapointed with the ammount of excitement throughout the day. I was really hoping that my leafs would make a splash but all they did was trade there B line players for some draft picks and one prospect who shows some potential. Hopefully they will be able to really make something happen this off-season so we don't have a repeat of this year. The biggest deal of the day was Avalanch forward Wojtek Wolski moving to the Pheonix Coyotes for Peter Mueller and Kevin Porter, Now, if you aren't a hockey fan, this probably means nothing to you, and that is why I am so dissapointed with the lack of movement in big name players. I woke up in the morning excited to see how the league would change and what surprise teams could turn themselves into Stanley Cup contendors. The teams with the best moves were probably the Washington Capitals who really added some more depth to their lineup and the Pheonix Coyotes who have really shot up from under the radar. I'm excited for the playoff's and the stretch before is gonna be great. But the real excitement for me and my leafs is making something happen on draft day, throughout free agency, and then on into next season. Playoffs next year? I can only hope. For more on the trade deadline check out my glimpse of the NHL deadline. Thanks for reading. Until next time,

I'm Jammin' Jeffrey

(NHL Deadline)

Weopons

I have a question for all of you out there... Should people be allowed to own weopons? Now I'm not talking your standard American home where everyone has a fire arm of some kind, I mean swords and knives and nun-chicks, etc. These items make me think that there is somehting wrong with these people and they are probably people you do NOT want to piss off. I went into the house of a good friend of mine and his room is decorated with all these different waopons. At first I was hesitant to pick them up and play with them, until he started showing me some cool tricks. I realized that hey, this is fun and not something you can do all the time. I began playing with his swords and swinging around the nun-chucks, quite enjoyable. We ended up having a "dangerous" amount of fun and thank god... no accidents. So what do you think, entertaining or dangerous? I'm not so sure but it is definately entertaining. Until next time, I'm Jammin' Jeffrey.

To Paul Scott, Tim Goebel, and Mike Thurnell

I came into school today with the expectation that I would be working on a presentation for my news class with my good buddy Ken Cheesey. We came in, sat down, and got ready to work. Right at that moment, Ken got stuck working on a different project with a different group. So I had to decide what I should do with my time. I decided to write a song that displays how I feel about the radio-broadcast program here at Conestoga College. I first had to pick a song to use and make into my own. I picked a song by The Beetles since I beleive they are my proffesor, Paul Scott's, favourite band. I then took it and cut it and made it into something I was happy with. Put in some drum loops and made it into a Jammin' Jeffrey original. This song is dedicated to my proffesor's Paul Scott, Tim Goebel, and Mike Thurnall and how much I truly enjoy my time here at Conestoga's Radio-Broadcast Program. So check it out and let me know what you think. Please take a listen and enjoy. Until next time, I'm Jammin' Jeffrey.

Entertaining?

So, the other day I was with my girlfriend and I was doing my best to keep her entertained. I was acting like an idiot, like i occasionally like to do, and I pulled out the microphone. I took a dive into stand up comedy but realized... I really suck at it, well at least without anything prepared. So I moved on from that and whipped out my....... keyboard (I know what you were thinking, sicko!) I began playing the only song i know how to play on keyboard, which is Fix You by Coldplay. I started with the original version but realized, "this isnt fun" so i asked "what could make this more entertaining?" So I decided to improvise lyrics over top of my keyboard and see what happens. I wrote a really crappy little tune for my girlfriend but it made her laugh and she even joined in which made it thatmore entertaining. So what have I learned? Well I have figured out that when your bored and really need something to do, write a song. And if your significant other is there, make it about them. Trust me, they'll love it and you will have fun doing it. Oh and a little tip, on most keyboards they have drum beats that can play without you touching a key, use these, great for rapping over! So to all you love birds, good luck, and happy singing. Until next time, I'm Jammin' Jeffery.
